Important details about the Eloorac transport rack

The Eloorac transport rack system is particularly known for its flexibility. It is always possible to build a transport rack in the size you need. The only thing you need to think about at the beginning is the height of the upright “A” parts, i.e. how high the transport frame needs to be. Once an Eloorac basic model has been selected, it can be used in future to assemble transport frames of any theoretical length.

The LEGO system among the transport racks

The Eloorac transport system can be seen as a kind of “Lego” system. Window transport frames of any length can be created from the standard sets. If you are working with Euro pallets, simply join them together with plastic tape. However, some Eloorac users have had their own large pallets made. Of course, this way you have more stable pallets to begin with, but they are also heavier due to their size.

Imagine the situation in your company. You are faced with the task of transporting relatively narrow windows to the customer. With Eloorac, you now have the option of constructing a very narrow window transport frame. If you take the Euro pallet as a basis, your window transport frame can only be 80 cm wide. The next width would then be 120 cm. Let us now assume that you have to transport very wide window elements to the construction site. You simply assemble several standard window transport frames into one long one. It only takes a few minutes longer. However, you will then have a window transport frame that is customised to your requirements and which your fitters or your customer’s fitters can take back from the construction site with them in a super simple, disassembled and space-saving manner.

Lifting very long pallets

Frequently asked question: I have several Eloorac transport racks on Euro pallets, linked together. If I now drive the forklift truck under the pallets in the centre of the long side, will the outer pallets fall down? Answer: Since you attach the goods to be transported to the transport rack and normally attach additional straps that run above the rack and below the pallets, you are practically putting together a complete package. Your goods and the glass frame, for example, therefore form a single unit. This is why the outer pallets do not fall down.

Cantilever arm Transport and storage rack

We now also offer the Eloorac system as a cantilever version. On 8 levels, you have the option of storing or transporting long aluminium profiles, steel tubes, long roller shutter panels, marquises or other products that are otherwise difficult to store.

Long, longer, extremely long… It works!

A big advantage of the Eloorac transport racks is the possibility of length variability. Many presentations that our customers have provided us with show the use of 2.4 or 3.6 metre long transport racks, for example.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who sends us pictures of a project. These photos, which we usually rework (so they don’t have to be beautiful), help us to gain the trust of new customers.

Here is an example of a particularly long Eloorac transport frame:

individual frame lengths thanks to spacer plates

The illustration shows a transport rack that has been extended to a length that could not otherwise be achieved with standard Euro pallets using spacer plates. The boards are simply held between 2 pallets or placed on the pallets using additional auxiliary strips and then pulled together with PET strapping and a lashing device to form a tight bond.

Photovoltaics – a populare topic

The current energy situation is allowing the photovoltaic sector, among others, to continue to flourish. Of course, sustainable transport of the required solar and photovoltaic modules is also part of such a sustainable topic.

We have already been able to convince many wholesalers as well as smaller craft businesses of the sustainability of the Eloorac transport system. In the entire roof region, many Eloorac racks are now in use for the transportation of solar panels, contributing to the generation of more energy from the sun.

Ideal for small quantities of photovoltaic modules.

An Eloorac transport rack loaded with photovoltaic modules. Often, small quantities of modules need to be shipped. A standard Eloorac rack can accommodate up to 14 module plates, depending on the thickness of the solar panels. Various fastening options ensure secure transportation. Give us a call. We can certainly offer a solution for you as well.

We understand that a lot of information is being presented here, and it may be unclear at times what all of this is about. No worries, that’s normal. However, a good support system often requires all these images and explanations.

To shed light on the matter, I would be pleased if you could call me, and I’ll assist you in finding the right transport rack, roller system, clamping system, or pallet lift set.

It’s not uncommon for us to hear at the end of a consultation, “I’m glad I called.”

Assembly of the transport rack.

Tested fastening with PET tape: When assembling an Eloorac transport rack, only fasteners are used, which are typically also used to secure the goods. The fastening or assembly is very simple and can be done quickly. The fastening with PET plastic straps has been tested and proven effective. These are processed with tensioning devices. An Eloorac transport rack is attached to a Euro pallet in less than 1.5 minutes using this method.

Alternative assembly option.

Alternative fastening (not tested): Since tensioning devices are not always available, it is possible to use screw fastenings. By using a screw and a flat iron with threaded perforation, the Eloorac rack is securely clamped to the pallet. This fastening method is not tested but surprisingly stable. You could also use ratchet straps.

Possible pallet connections.

Generally, pallets are also connected using PET straps. Problem: On construction sites or in exhibition construction, a lashing device for processing the PET strap is often not available. As an alternative connection method, ratchet straps or Eloorac connecting plates with screw fastenings can be used here.

Connecting crossbars

When multiple transport racks are assembled into a long glass rack, not only do the pallets need to be connected, but also the crossbars. This connection is also done with PET straps. If these are not available, an alternative could be using a lower-grade ratchet strap.

Detail: Connecting pallets.

Frequently asked question: How do you connect the pallets? On the left side of the image, two Euro pallets are connected in length. On the right, you can see how two Euro pallets are connected laterally. No worries. The pallets will not sag when the forklift lifts the Euro pallet assembly. If the goods on the pallets are securely fastened, you have created a self-contained and stable “package.”
